ESOX 6, Glencoe 2
Edina notched its first win of the year as they continued their non-league schedule with a 9 inning game against Glencoe on Saturday afternoon. Jake Campion threw six scoreless innings while striking out five. It was a classic pitchers duel until Glencoe added runs in the 7th and 8th innings to take a 2-0 lead heading into the 9th inning. In Minnesota Twin like fashion, starting catcher Sean Toomey hit a three run homerun to put the ESox in the lead for good. The ESox added three more runs in the 9th to build a 6-2 cushion where rookie Matt Voldness retired Glencoe 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 9th to secure the victory.
