ESOX 7, Vics 9
Edina used a makeshift lineup to generate runs but it was not enough to beat the Vics Friday night as the ESox lost 9-7. Jake Campion, fighting soreness in his throwing arm, labored through 4 innings, allowing 6 runs. Chris Pettit threw well in 5 innings in relief, allowing 3 runs. The top part of Edina's lineup hit Victoria's pitching throughout the game. Outfielder Dan Bissonnette led the way for Edina going 3-5 with 3 RBI. JT Canakes, who plays for the Minnesota Golden Gophers and making his ESox debut, and Reggie Dunlop added 2 hits each. DH Erik Quarberg and outfielder Dallas Jagelia both had 1 hit but stung the ball all night for Edina.
