ESOX 9, Cannon Falls 4
The ESox used the 7th inning to score 7 runs and to power Edina over Cannon Falls in the opening game of the Cannon Falls Tournament. More offensive struggles plagued Edina for the most part of the game as they only had four hits through six innings of play. Cannon Falls scored two runs in the first and third innings to lead 4-0.
The rally started when Reggie Dunlop walked with one out in the 7th inning. The next six batters reached base that culminated with a three run homer by red hot third baseman Kirk Kinneally. The Esox added two more runs in the 9th inning to take a 9-4 advantage and winning the game. Jake Campion, Chris Pettit, and Sam Weinberg combined the pitching effort for the win. Pettit was the winning pitcher of record.
