Edina rebounded nicely with an 11-7 victory over Rosetown to claim 5th place in the Victoria tournament on Sunday afternoon. Every ESox batter notched at least 1 hit as Edina pounded 17 of them against Rosetown on a beautiful afternoon in Victoria. Starting Edina pitcher Aaron Chez-Shaw allowed 4 hits and 4 walks as his steady performance bought Edina time to outlast Rosetown. Brashad Johnson, Pat Page, and Mark Bearman had 3 hits each, Reggie Dunlop reached safely 4 times, Bobby Gregoire and Kirk Kinneally had 2 hits each for Edina in the offensive showcase. Kenneally and Dunlop launched back to back doubles in the 3rd inning as Edina opened with a 3-1 lead. Rosetown answered with 2 runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to lead 5-4 into the 5th. Edina utilized 2 walks and 2 hits in the 7th to score 3 runs and take the lead 7-5 into the 8th inning. Rosetown responded by tying the game at 7 with 2 runs in the 8th inning. Edina dealt the final blow in the 9th inning by scoring 4 runs. Dan Bissonnette started the inning with a single which eventually followed with the next five ESox reaching base as Brashad Johnson, Bobby Gregoire, and Kirk Kenneally added hits, Reggie Dunlop walked, and Pat Page singled.
