ESOX 4, Brooklyn Park 2
Edina rebounded after losing the previous day with a 4-2 win over Brooklyn Park at Braemar. The ESox offense continued its rather lackluster play but it was able to respond with a four run 4th inning that ended up being the deciding factor in the game. Talented shortstop Brashad Johnson walked with one out and Erik Quarberg doubled to set the table for the ESox rally. Third baseman Kirk Kenneally hit a three run homer to give Edina a 3-1 advantage. Robbie Leer then singled and later scored on a wild pitch to continue the rally and Edina ultimately led 4-1.
Starting pitcher George Jensen threw six solid innings for Edina striking out five and allowing only one hit.
