The score was evened at four when Brashad Johnson drove in his third run of the game on a single, scoring Aaron Schmitz.

The lead was lost again in the 9th inning when St. Louis Park's Dave Lindstrom hit a solo homer as Park appeared in position to win the game. Edina rallied again by getting hits from Sean Toomey and Nate Briscoe. DH Erik Quarberg was intentionally walked to load the bases with one out. With the count at 1-2, Edina's Kirk Kenneally was beaned allowing Toomey to score and Edina to tie the game. Robbie Leer ended the game with an RBI single, capping an exiting finish.
